Think. Play. Grow. Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to breaking down barriers to education and personal development. We operate and fund community enrichment programs that serve youth, seniors, and intergenerational participants, believing that cost should never prevent anyone from accessing transformative learning opportunities. Our mission is to foster intellectual growth, creative thinking, and active engagement across all ages through innovative, inclusive programming.
We offer a diverse range of programs including chess, coding, active movement, LEGO engineering, leadership development, and technology skills training tailored for seniors. Through our tuition scholarships and program equipment funding, we ensure that every participant—regardless of financial circumstances—can fully engage in our offerings. By bringing together different generations and providing hands-on, engaging experiences, we create a vibrant community where everyone can think critically, play creatively, and grow personally.
Our Programs and Services
Young Roots
Young Roots empowers youth through weekly Enrichment programming like Chess Academy, LEGO Engineering, and Jump Start sessions at school sites throughout the entire academic year. These hands-on, skill-building activities spark curiosity, strengthen problem-solving, and foster confidence—all offered free to participants and host schools.
Elder Roots
Elder Roots enriches the lives of older adults with weekly Chess Academy, LEGO Engineering, and Tech Skills for Seniors in senior communities, year-round. This program promotes lifelong learning, creativity, and connection, with no cost to participants or host centers.
Shared Roots
Shared Roots bridges generations by pairing youth from Young Roots with older adults from Elder Roots for a year of mentorship and collaborative projects. Drawing from both programs’ participants, this free initiative cultivates mutual respect, shared knowledge, and community bonds.
